Tips
Collecting autographs or sending fan mail is an awesome and rewarding hobby. I've been collecting for about two years and this is the kind of thing that never gets borring! If you want the best results when sending fan mail, you may want to check out the tips below.

1) Get the right address
The Star will never see the letter let alone be able to respond if you get the wrong address! (if you see a bad address in my list please tell me)

2)Always include a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE)
With your envelope, add a second envelope that is self addressed (addressed to you) and has the proper stamps. On that note, always include the proper amount of stamps.

3)Add your own picture and/or an index card for the star to sign
Some stars won't have photo's for them to sign, it is always good to send a photo for them, and who knows, you may even get a second photo from them!

4)Don't send stupid letters
Okay, sending a star "i'm your biggest fan, send me an autograph please" really doesn't do anything. One, they've heard it about a billion times and two, it's completely impersonal. While you want to keep your letters, short, polite and to the point, you may want to add on that line. Compliment their work, talk about how they've had an influence on your life ect. Be positive and SINCERE! Honesty is the best policy!

5) Have fun, and be patient, most letters will take about 3 months + to get back. One of mine came in after 2 years, others a week, it really depends on a lot of factors that are out of your control, so enjoy the ride.
